A Home made continuous still

Although the process of operating a continuous still seems quite difficult to handle in a home environment, there is a basic design available. I have it laying around for quite some time but I have not been able to try it. The drawings are scans from the book "The Alaskan Bootlegger's Bible", which can still be ordered over the web (see also the section "Books").

The design is extremely simple and requires only a few fairly cheap components.

The main components of the still are:-

  • a soldering iron as a heat source;
  • some standard tubing;
  • cork and a thermometer.
